Tablas Island
The main island in Romblon province, 100 km long, with airport and sea ports – exciting nature, friendly people – a coming destination, home also to an increasing international community
Puro belongs to the main island of Romblon province: Tablas. Tablas is a very green and beautiful island, about 100 km long from north to south, which hosts Tugdan Airport in the East and Looc and Odiongan Port in the West.
When driving around in Tablas, you will notice that there is hardly any traffic – in spite of the nicely developed road network. You will also see how green and friendly everything looks – an abundance of flowers, overlooking hills and mountains, roads along the sea shore … Talking with international residents from Germany, England, France, Italy, the US, Canada and other countries, you can hear directly from them how much they like to live here and how fast and well things are developing. And they themselves contribute to it, offering restaurants, deli
shops, resorts, hotels and many more.
Tablas also is the home of Romblon State University and many high schools and elementary schools. Nearby Boracay has a very good international school.
Crime rates are very low and communities functioning well. People are used to help and support each other and welcome international guests.
